How to use
Generic Zovirax (Acyclovir) should be taken orally as soon as symptoms appear. Take this medication as directed. Try to take the medication at evenly spaced intervals throughout the day and night. This will ensure a constant level of medication in your blood at all times and will increase the efficacity of Generic Zovirax (Acyclovir). Skipping or changing your dose without approval from your doctor may decrease the effectiveness of the drug. If you stop using Generic Zovirax (Acyclovir) too early, this may result in a return of the outbreak.
In case of an overdose, contact your local poison control center. If the patient has collapsed or stopped breathing, contact your emergency authorities.
If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at the next regularly scheduled time. Do not take extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.
Do not share this medication with others, since they may have a problem that is not effectively treated by this drug. Avoid sexual activity while signs and symptoms of genital herpes are present to prevent infecting your partner. Inform your doctor if this medication does not appear to decrease the frequency or severity of recurrent infections
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C ) and keep away from light and moisture. KEEP THIS AND ALL MEDICATIONS OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
